About Tevel Angel Club
Tevel is the first angel club established in the US, exclusively focusing on bringing US investors with Israeli early-stage technology companies in an up-scale professional environment.
Tevel angel club began its activities in the Spring of 2007, at which time it was incorporated, applied for 501(c)(3) status, put together its rules and guidelines and assembled its executive committee. The organization is currently preparing for its fourth full-scale angel club meeting, which will take place at the prestigious Harvard Club in Manhattan, on Monday, May 5, 2008.
There are many ways to help Israel. As business people, we have focused on supporting Israel through its economy. Israel produces many hundreds of innovative companies which lack the initial rounds of financing. By putting together a platform to introduce early-stage companies to US investors, supporting Israel's economy goes hand-in-hand with business opportunities.
We focus on companies from the sectors in which Israeli technology is currently demonstrating exceptional abilities, including life sciences, Internet, electronics, telecom, software, clean-tech and homeland security. Our hand-selecting executive committee carefully evaluates and screens the numerous companies applying to Tevel angel club, eventually choosing four to five most promising companies to present before our esteemed group of angels. Tevel members are given valuable benefits such as access to Tevel angel club members’ online database alongside an opportunity to hear about the selected companies in angel club meetings.
All angel members or guests of Tevel are required to be accredited investors as individuals or as representatives of such entities.
As a 501(c)(3) organization, Tevel is not in the business of making profits. Our sole purpose is to promote our philanthropic causes. We have identified an opportunity to provide US angels with an exciting format to support Israel. Doing good for Israel while doing well for yourself is no longer a vision!
